Back in Chicago. Figured Iβd take the train into town from the airport. Train breaks down before we even get to the first stop. Sitting on the track for over half an hour, and theyβre trying to get everyone into fewer cars. Oh, and itβs 100 degrees. Literally. #screaminginside #WhatAnnoysMe

American Express is reducing the ways you can redeem Membership Rewards points *and* making them worth less when you do. So glad I've been holding onto mine. #WhatAnnoysMe
I can't figure out why Apple, when positioning two USB ports and an SD card slot on the front of the Mac Studio, didn't also put the damn audio mini-plug port there, too! #WhatAnnoysMe #industrialdesign #UX

Turns out the Zoom updates I complained about a week back...the ones that reset all my meeting preferences? Yeah, it turns out they also reset all my recording preferences. So that multi-track podcast recording I thought I did yesterday is just one combined track. π€¬ #WhatAnnoysMe #podcasting
Can anyone explain to me why, when my AirPlay connecting from Apple Music on my Mac to my Airport-connected speakers stops working, all I have to do is run Airport Utility and close it again to fix everything??? #WhatAnnoysMe
Don't you just love it when snarky people can't handle some snark? #WhatAnnoysMe #muted
Google can finish my sentences as I write, but it still can't fix when I accidentally capitalize the first two letters of a sentence instead of one. #WhatAnnoysMe #AI
The process of removing a Teams meeting from an Outlook invitation is the opposite of intuitive and obvious. #WhatAnnoysMe #UX
I donβt think Iβve ever used an app thatβs as bad at clearing notification badges as Slack. It feels as if the problemβs getting worse over the years, not better. #UX #WhatAnnoysMe
@machias Nope...irks me, too. Also bugs me when people say "backslash" when they really just mean "slash" like in web addresses. π #WhatAnnoysMe
I'd like to thank the kind folks at Zoom for resetting my call preferences, changing my audio settings, and removing all my custom backgrounds as part of this latest update. ππ #WhatAnnoysMe
Just a reminderβthis time in caps so everyone can hear me: YOU DON'T ADD AN APOSTROPHE TO MAKE ACRONYMS AND INITIALISMS PLURAL (that just makes them possessive). #WhatAnnoysMe #MakeMerikaSmart
e.g., It's ATMs (small "s" and no apostrophe), not ATM's.

:sigh: The above-the-fold content experience on tech sites these days... [Points for the well-targeted, demographically accurate ad, though.] #WhatAnnoysMe
Tesla: We had great earnings last quarter
Analysts: They beat our expectations; we're raising our price targets
Investors: OMG NO...THIS IS TERRIBLE

I have found that most sites/companies/organizations that aren't driving revenue through their newsletter subscriptions eventually stop publishing their newsletter. So maybe tone down the newsletter nags on EVERY DAMN WEB SITE? #WhatAnnoysMe
In the long list of poorly conceived product names, Dropbox for macOS on File Provider gets a pretty high ranking. #WhatAnnoysMe
I seriously don't understand why every rich text field isn't designed so typing an asterisk or dash at the start of a line followed by a space automatically starts a bulleted list. And (I know I complain about this all the time, but) even macOS Mail doesn't do this!!! #WhatAnnoysMe
I learned today that Residence Inns no longer offer a complete room cleaning unless youβre staying in the room for a full week. They may visit occasionally (but likely not every day) to βrefresh.β Iβm so sick of the trending reduction of SERVICE across service organizations. Every grocery store now has maybe one or two staffed checkouts openβotherwise you can do it your own damn self. Even at IKEA now, you only get checked out by another human if youβre using cash. #WhatAnnoysMe
@reuvenim I use Office all the time. I have for literally decades. I havenβt found anything that can match its power, and itβs one of the few suites I pay for. But their insistence on imposing their way of working on every customer is just infuriating. They do a similar thing by imposing their selection and navigation keystrokes on the Mac apps over Macβs own defaultβs. There isnβt even an option to revert to default behaviors on this stuff. #WhatAnnoysMe
