Amaze your friends with this one weird trick that mathematicians really want you to know!

Here's a clip from #WhatCanMathematiciansDo where I show how to make a five-pointed star from a folded piece of paper with a single cut.
It's a nice trick, and you can work out how to do it with just the insight that all the cut edges have to be on top of each other when you cut.

It's not long now until the series of public math talks I'm organising featuring disabled presenters, "What Can Mathematicians Do?"

All over Zoom, open to anyone. Aimed at students in years 10-13 (ages 15 to 18).
Five sessions between 12th and 22nd December 2022.
