It fascinates me that the species intelligent enough *and* stupid enough to knowingly trigger Earth’s sixth mass extinction is currently more focused on tech making Skynet go live than tech ensuring that our planet remain livable in the immediate future. Are we really saying that burning fossil fuels for energy is the absolute apex of human ingenuity? bc that’s what I’m hearing and it’s fucking pathetic.
