Every year or so I have the opportunity to teach in the training school for Reform Mohelim/Mohelot. In the Reform Movement, a person must already be an MD qualified to perform circumcision before training as a #mohel. (moyl) My role on faculty has been to ground the doctors in an overview of rabbinic literature and an understanding of where the texts they use come from. Anyhow, I taught for them tonight, and I'm happy. #whatrabbisdo

Yesterday I sat on a beit din (rabbinical court) that welcomed 2 new Jews to the Jewish People. #WhatRabbisDo #Gerut #ConversionToJudaism
