I hope you get a chance to see all the amazing art in the Packard Group National Exhibition 2023 at No. 7 Center Gallery in Vermillion, SD! I had to begin wheat-pasting the prints to the exterior wall before sunrise because the temperature was over 100° each day I worked. Have you been melting lately too? @fmmniell and whisk it in, yeah - heat back up on the stove if it seems like it's not gonna mix well.

the fridge WILL make it more thick because that's what cooling does (think of putting leftover gravy in the fridge for later) - but it will thin out when it warms up, and the thickness doesn't really change the adhesiveness of it in my experience - just the gloppiness. some people like it gloppier for easy carrying in a lil bucket [not long ago i saw someone turn their paste bucket upside down like in a dairy queen blizzard ad and since usually mine spills all over my bag some, i was like wow i gotta try this!] but other people think it's easier to apply when its a lot thinner than that.
