Never saw this one coming, 'Wheel of Time' second series seems, so far, to be an improvement on the first although there's still some spots of ropey acting..... looking at you Kate Fleetwood.

Today I've been to the hairdresser, visited my favourite coffee shop, and popped to the butcher to get something nice for lunch tomorrow.

Now the heat is really kicking in so my plans for the rest of the day involve reading, writing fic, and telly.

The main problem with adapting Fantasy novels/series with vast geography to television is that without the map at the front of the book you lose the sense of scale and distance.
GOT tackled it by having the map as the titles (one of my fave title sequences ever).
#WheelOfTime is not tackling this at the moment.

Okay but this fourth episode really does give me the same vibes I had when reading the books #WheelOfTime

Another fairly strong episode. Loved seeing Moiraine back in her home town and getting absolutely read by her sister.

Impresssd this show has managed to make the Warders some of the most interesting and complex characters considering they often got short shrift in the books.

Not sure the girls wanting to leave the tower was sold quite as strongly as it should be, but overall was fine.

Very interested to see where the Min/Mat pairing goes.

Why was #Nynaeve wearing (allowed to wear) different clothing from the other novices? With her leather belt, and no apron?

(It was never stated explicitly, but I assume she was enrolled as a novice, hence Sheriam's involvement.)
