One of our favorite finds from last yearâs Seattle WA trip was an unplanned visit to Whidbey Island Distillery.
A twist on the classic Bramble cocktail is now one of my most favorite drinks.
A âshotâ here is flexible - I use the juice I get from one or two limes, and measure other things from that.
1 shot Fresh squeezed lime juice
1 shot simple syrup
2 shots gin
Fill glass with a generous amount of crushed ice.
Pour over some Loganberry liqueur ( maybe 1/2 shot)

This is one of my favorite mugs. To me, a sea serpent happily playing around a ferry is just SO very #Washington. I mention it b/c the artist, Erika Rae Heins of Whidbey Island, has a #Kickstarter up for HOODIES with this picture. I've been begging for this design on a hoodie for years. She met her goal and they'll be made, but her car needs work and she could certainly use selling more. :)

I followed the T46s on 2/7 as they battled an incredible head wind in Admiralty Inlet. The T46s are a very special matriline. T46 (b. 1966), Wake , and five other #orcas were captured in 1976 in Budd Inlet. Outrage over the captures led to their release before they suffered imprisonment in a cement bathtub. They were the last orcas to be captured in WA. Wake went on to birth seven offspring, & she is still leading her brood! These were taken from #WhidbeyIsland. #killerwhales #notanks
