I joined #Mastodon last year. I never used, nor ever will use, any of the toxic-swamp commercial centralised so-called social media platforms. Lots of the guides & how-to's i read for getting used to #Masto, repeatedly drew comparisons to functions in some of those toxic platforms, which thus was less then useful for my learning. One thing i did know though was what a "tweet" meant, & that Masto called their equivalent a "toot". This just sounded silly to me, so til v recently i obstinately just kept using the word "post", being what i'm very familiar with from years of fora activity. To my surprise though, i realised this week that, inexplicably, #tooting here rather than posting here has actually grown on me, to the extent that this is now how i think of it. Weird!

Later, i might #toot about **other** also Really Extremely Important brainfarts that will also be of no relevance nor interest to anyone else.

After tonight's dinner, i'm seriously considering replacing my standard dessert of tinned fruit [peaches & apricots], sunflower seeds, walnuts & unsweetened yoghurt, & cuppa black tea, with TimTams [yes plural] & a steaming mug of generously spooned Milo. I'm a little nervous though that if i do, #Gaia will immediately Unfriend me, then begin posting mean yet truthful things about me on her social media.
