My body is broken because I sat down wrong. When did I become so fragile? I mean, if I had done this while riding a Norton Commando too fast, or body-surfing at Burleigh, or getting thrown out of a window by the jealous husband of my much younger lover, then sure, I could understand. But all I did was sit down wrong for a bit too long.
Doc says that I've done something to my sciatic nerve causing pain all down my right leg. But the bugger won't give me any of the good stuff. Not even Panadeine let alone Oxy. It's not as if I'm planning to become Melbourne's answer to Walter White.

chatgpt is really bad at staying within an instructed character limit.
initial meeting with agency to help out with some dev work... hasnt seen the code base, doesn't what the site does, or how it works, or what it's integrated with.
... and straight away they pitching a rebuild ๐คจ
Nothing like a nice wind down with a good book, and your pager going off with a dumb automated escalation because an engineer left a ticket open with no action for 8 hoursโฆ
my beloved pi+retropie+kodi setup has finally died. the youtube plugin stopped working but update needs newer version of kodi than available on buster ๐ข
retropie seems stuck on buster as well ๐ญ
so guess going to have to set it up manually ๐ฟ
its been a great run, but all good things come to an end i guess ๐คท

For a laugh, I searched for instrument*.txt files using explorer. After half an hour, it had found 5 files.
Started a cmd shell, used the SLOWEST command I could think of* and it found 44 in few seconds, before the GUI had found a sixth.
Shouldn't the GUI do basic tasks, such as finding files by name, more conveniently?
*dir /s /b \i*.*|find /i ".txt"|find /i "instrument"
was as inefficient as I could think of, while avoiding too many false positives.
i've somehow lost the ability to ctrl+tab into phpstorm.
the window comes to the front, but keyboard focus remains in previous active window. the window decorations indicate active either.
need to click in the window for keyboard focus to update.
only affecting phpstorm.
really annoying.
Despite committing to & subscribing to a paid #Todoist account & importing everything from #Omnifocus & using it exclusively it just doesn't *feel* right. It does everything I need but isn't engaging me enough to be enthusiastic.
I built my own work todo systems in #Clickup, in #Smartsheet and prior to those, for years successfully ran a modified #BulletJournal system. My only reason for saying no to Omnifocus is the total cost and I'd have to use the web interface on my work PC.

And as further comment on Whanganui cafes, I know things are getting more expensive but charging $9.50 for the smallest apple scroll I've ever seen seemed a bit ridiculous.
(This was after we turned up at the posted opening time of 10am only to find that the kitchen wasn't open until 11am.) #Whinge
colleague broke my monstrous opensearch "sort by next instance of date" filtered query thing... really have no idea how the fux im going to fix this thing.
the complexity of shit we need to do for (relatively) simple use cases is kinda hilarious.

ahh see media hell bent on reporting on the most inconsequential inane bollocks.
sware the media cycle is just a shitty...er version of chan board edge lords spamming memes.
protip of sorts... https://www.theguardian.com/international is graciously void of anything to do with aussie land taxation.
