Har aldri hatt det så gøy med å sjå tri vaksne personar springe rundt i diverse kostymar framføre ei øydelagt kyrkje.

Eg fekk kanskje ikkje ta sjølve toget Harry og gjengen tok til Galtvang (Galtvort sin stasjon), men eg fekk besøkt stasjonen!
Etter at #Jacobite-turen ble avljost har me leita etter andre stilige veterantog. Me fann eit frå #Whitby som køyrar til Goathland! Stasjonen brukt som lokasjon for båe #MedHjartetPåRetteStaden og #HarryPotter.
Å få sjå damploket arbeide seg opp bakken til stasjonen var fantastisk og magisk.

The song tells the story of the bells of Whitby Abbey which were removed at the Dissolution. The ship taking the bells to London inexplicably sank in Saltwick Bay, and it is said that the submerged bells can still sometimes be heard ringing.

Hilda, the daughter of the King of Northumberland (early 600's) called a synod here to formally set out how Christianity should be taught, the stories, readings and what saint/festival days were to be observed.
She built a Convent on the headland (in the pic), later replaced with an Abbey which of course was destroyed by Henry VIII

The #Prospect of #Whitby still stands today on the #River #Thames in #Wapping. Initially built in 1520, it was known as 'the Devil's Tavern' through its association with #thieves and #smugglers.
