This space, I guess “instance” still seems centered around white guys in the way that almost every tech platform I’ve been on early-ish has felt.
This will shape the norms, social signals and priorities of the social space. It is an issue tech repeats over and over. Code doesn’t make the social space as much as people do and which people are in a space first has a huge impact on what that space is like to be in. People #tummeling can make a difference to a space. Relying only on “boosting” from everyone gets you more of who “everyone” already is.
