When you get so tired of #WHMCS shenanigans you start building your own frontend and backend for it... I want to display information how I want it displayed. I don't want to mess with hooks and other nonsense to display information for my clients... and most importantly, I'm tired of paying monthly licensing fees!

So far, I've got:
✅ Staff-only announcements
😭 Tickets at least display and markdown to HTML is somewhat working
😭 Client login is... somewhat working.

Obviously, it's no where near ready to go... but this is one of the most fun projects I've worked on. I've learned so much by working on this project. I can't wait for it to go live!

I've added some screenshots. It's nothing impressive. Yes, it's older Bootstrap, but that's for compatibility and because I think it just looks better. Some interfaces I'm still working on as they were recycled from the client side. Like the full ticket.

I was wondering how a person with 46 fraud points got past my #WHMCS FraudRecord check… turns out I suck at regex and it was never matching. Thankfully MaxMind halted the order when the “New York, New York, New York” address didn’t pass the sniff test. Fixed my code and now I just eagerly await the next spammer to try their luck! I can’t wait to read what excuses they have when their order gets blocked because they have a lot of points and high reliability score! 😂

I swear #WHMCS is the most frustrating piece of software I've ever had the displeasure of using. I wish something else would replace it. Trying to upgrade old modules for 8.6 is absolutely miserable. #PHP #PHPDevelopment

Just finished upgrading my WHMCS billing software to the latest release. Why does it have to be this hard? Every upgrade I go through this cycle of backing it up, restoring from backup after it failed to upgrade, tweaking memory & timeout settings, to finally get it to go through.

Perhaps its time to build a new upgrade process that doesn't rely on the browser staying awake on the page?
