Seems like the site of the old Sears, Roebuck bldg at Geary & Masonic is one of the better possible locations for another Whole Foods (whether you think it's necessary or not) to me because it already has a built-in mutli-level parking structure and enough space to fully house the market w/o the need for any expansion.

Looks like it's going to occupy the 2nd level where Best Buy use to be and, except for Trader Joes (up the street) , the closest supermarkets are the Safeway on Geary & Fillmore & the Safeway on 7th & Cabrillo.

The new store would also mean more jobs for people in The City who need them and more tax revenue for The City as well.

So, I have no objection to it. Wish it was there when I lived on Ewing Terrace off of Masonic just a block away back in 1982.

I remember when I was a department manager, I mean Team Leader at Whole Foods before the Amazon buy out.

Everything was "team" this and "team" that. Workers were "team members," we held "team building" events.

One day all of the Team Leaders were directed to a room in a nearby hotel. Just a hotel room, not a formal room.

There our Top Regional Team Leader, and several lawyers, had each Team Leader assign a number from 1-5 for each of their "Team Members" as being either pro-union, or pro-company.

Within 6 months, anyone ranked 4 or 5 (most pro-union) had been fired for some minor cause.

I think it must have been some kind of Team Building exercise.
