@vipaal Some of my favorite vegetarian recipes are #wholefoodsplantbased. Back when I first tried vegatarianism, there weren't a lot of options out there. I ate a lot of lentils and chickpeas, and have been collecting recipes for years. Some of the cookbooks I use (from the 1980s) have a lot of those old school recipes.
@sabret00the You may be interested in the #WholeFoodsPlantBased style of food instead. They emphasize food that is not processed (or at least minimally processed!).
Check out this website, it goes over it in a decent amount of detail:
For all those that have seen #ForksOverKnives and the Forks Over Knives extended interview (which I highly recommend for those wanting to hear from the people interviewed in the movie), I recently watched and enjoyed this 10 year follow up to the movie with the film creator and a number of the key people that were interviewed in the movie:

@AnneTheWriter1 @chad I can vouch for the vegan diet and say that if I treated it as another diet, it would have failed me a long time ago and I would have gone on to something else. I don't even think of the food, proportions, what to eat or not to eat, time of day, so long as all animals are excluded etc.
We call it #VeganForTheAnimals. The best 'vegan diet' would be a #WholeFoodsPlantBased diet (#wfpb). I still eat junk food so I won't be winning any weightlifting competitions any time soon!
