Whoogle ist eine lokal laufende Metasearch Engine. Suchanfragen, in Whoogle werden von Whoogle an Google weitergeleitet, die Ergebnisse werden im Anschluss wieder eingesammelt. Auf dem Weg wird Werbung, Tracking, Cookies uvm. rausgefilter.
So lässt sich Google ohne schlechtes Gewissen nutzen.

The operating system installation part is included because the video is intended as an introductory tutorial. Hopefully, it will help new users see some stuff can be more accessible than they thought.

@fyw321 @geerlingguy My 8 node cluster costs around 55W via POE. It is 3 pi4 8G control+worker nodes, and 5 pi4 4G worker-only nodes (1 is actually 8G.)
Storage is #iscsi on spinning rust on #TrueNAS, but you can do all this on local disks.

Aber Google wird die Public IP der Docker Instanz sehen und wenn man ein selbstgehostetes Whoogle alleine oder nur im engen Kreis nutzt, bringt das in Sachen Privatsphäre leider nicht so viel.
Man sollte ein öffentliches Whoogle mittels Farside-Link nutzen.
