From this vantage point we could see 4 family units including this one of Whooping Cranes for 12 in all. Taken with Iphone near St Charles Bay in Texas - what a mistake not having the camera along!

I just recently caught sight of a Whooping Crane, which in the 40s was down to around population 16. Now there are between 400-600.
