For I've been mostly grappling with, yet again, what to include in to make it relevant and increase interest/engagement.

What I envision is that the answers to the questions in Personae game creation and Shadowlight mystery building will map onto mystery-as-identity attributes and traits.

Cunning <-> Obscurity (how hidden the truth of the mystery is)

Power <-> Protection (how guarded the mystery is, to maintain its legitimacy)

Knowledge <-> History (how long has the mystery been in existence for, how elaborate it is, how much information is related to bolster its relevance)

Stature <-> danger (or threat, the degree to which the mystery is capable of causing people harm)

If we go this route, then the mystery has attributes and traits the same way characters do, only the mystery is expressed in the abstract and exists outside the fiction.

Character stats <-> mystery stats

Competence <-> sway (people are drawn in by the story of the mystery)

Prowess <-> establishment (how concrete the details of the mystery are)
