#ChicagoStyle it will be, although, and sorry for the lack of precision, G4M should rather get "author-date" than "notes" variant, as we rarely have articles split into pages.

"Fun fact" is that #wikidot natively supports reference by number, IEEE-like, although, alas, the engine doesn't automate displaying in the order of appearance.

Due to recurring SSL and cookie issues with Wikidot I have removed UTAU.wiki's vanity domain and changed it to redirect to http://utau.wikidot.com until they tackle their technical issues, or we revisit our wiki platform.
The redirect should NOT break any links and should pass all URL parameters to Wikidot.

I have used a number of note-taking alternatives throughout the years. After I ditched Word documents, I started looking for a wiki-type solution. I used #Wikidot, #Wordpress, #Markdown + #Jekyll, and #Notion. My favorite so far has been Markdown, but I wanted easier wiki-type links between my notes, so #Obsidian seemed like a good option.

#Wikidot, our #wiki platform is such a mixed bag!

On the plus side, there's not only rolling text, but stronger modules than we love to use. It's fine-for-free, fast joining, and seems fair with ads level.

On the minus, it's "old-school" with editing (no WYSIWYG), but worse, far after prime years with support and general dev. ;)

The biggest thing going for it is that #SCPFoundation, a great writing collab, is running there. Without #scp, wikidot looks like could close shop at any moment... :S

One unfortunate example of AGPL in *Medium* Tech is #Wikidot, which has in parallel:

(a) an AGPL "community" version (last update 2009) [1]

(b) a non-public version used by Wikidot Inc. as a service (free base, premium paid)

The user community of (b) is apparently ~10^6, while that of (a) is tiny.

Which explains the Archiveteam overview [2] and the loss of the Wikidot Wikipedia entry [3].
