And in case you missed the announcement earlier this month, Wikis World is now fiscally hosted by the Open Collective Foundation. The plan is to use the funds for technical needs, like paying for our hosting provider and for the domain registration.

The money will go towards hosting costs and then some legal things we need to take care of. I'm mostly excited because this is a huge step in evolving from a few individuals' hobby project to a (hopefully) sustainable long-term service.

Debating whether to start #WikisWorld role accounts for #WikimediaNYC, #Wikispore, and maybe #EvilRobotWikipedia.

We've applied a change to #WikisWorld that will highlight images lacking alt-text with a yellow border.

Alt-text is important because it allows blind users to know what an image is about/shows.
