My little patch of "mostly leave it and see what happens" garden is developing, with a lot more colour since the end of May and the buddleia just starting to flower There's always something flying about around here and it's quickly become my favourite spot to just sit and look.

some people have asked how's the balcony pond after winter. it's not exactly thriving, but many plants survived the freezes and lots of interesting things are happening spontaneously, it's still a fascinating little ecosystem.

everything's native except possibly the spontaneous guests, I don't veto those.

and some fresh new flowers from the shop! my old pots I'm waiting to see which plants self-seeded, thus the need for more pots. (grape hyacinths were highly successful!)

ideally I'd spread these out but they came with the roots way too tangled to risk it. there's a whole lot of pot space left, which is good cos I'm still waiting for my snowdrops and March cups and checkerboard flowers and and :>
