First night out with my Aarakocra monk was a fun time. Our DM is running us through Wild Beyond the Witchlight and we played through the carnival games and did a little snail racing last night. Our druid put his finger on the scale last night and convinced one of the snails his friend (a loxodon cleric) was riding to go extra slow. So he had to roll with disadvantage half the time during the race.
Tons of fun was had and I'm very much looking forward to next time.

I finished a 15-month campaign yesterday (#wildbeyondthewitchlight), yet I don't feel moved to talk about it in any way. For my players, it was their first ever, and they raved about it at the end. But as the DM, it was... fine?

My players had a difficult battle in this session of #WildBeyondTheWitchlight but eventually got the upper hand over Skabatha. I was going to have her escape when her HP dropped to a certain level, but then one of my players accidentally summoned an ELEPHANT that blocked her path, forcing her to take another route, giving the warlock just enough time to catch up. RIP Skabatha Nightshade. #DnD

Tonight my players will face an enraged Skabatha Nightshade and her minions. This will be their biggest fight of the campaign! #DnD #WildBeyondTheWitchlight

I've been running a group through #wildbeyondthewitchlight in #dnd 5e. It's been fun but the campaign book is kinds crap, goes into no detail in places you want detail, and loads of detail in places you just don't care about.

After we finish this campaign, I think I'm gonna jump over to a dark fantasy setting (maybe something like grim hollow). Has anyone run a game in grim hollow?
