Close encounter

This morning, I spotted a few wild black fallow grazing under a small bank of trees in the forest near my home. Although I was hidden by the cover of the tree line, they could still sense my presence - ears twitching, staring in to the darkness to my location. One gave out a warning bark but had they realised I was human they would have bolted immediately.
