@mario So far, this NPC has triggered a blinding light #WildMagic, ruining their sneak, then triggered a levitate #WildMagic, ruining their escape.

So I’d say this feature is working out great!

@mario I wanted this for an NPC recently. Trying to introduce chaos, but manageable and definitely not fatal. Here’s what I used:

“When this happens, roll d100 to select a magical effect found under Sorcerer - Wild Magic Surge. If the effect is too extreme (e.g. casting fireball) or triggers further rolls on the table, nothing happens. Otherwise Tenacious, nearby creatures, or her surroundings are affected.”

In #OneDnD, the Wild Magic Surge table should be decoupled from the Wild Magic sorcerer, and they should replace the Metamagic-specific stuff in it to be more generalized. Give us #WildMagic hurricanes and wild magic hiccups. Randomize all our days with weird magical shit. #DungeonsAndDragons #DnD #ttrpg
