sunday #jazz matinee at the site of sam & bea rivers' former studio rivbea, now the gene frankel theatre, headed by #WilliamParker's rivbea revisited ensemble. wondrous conversation with daniel carter on horns, tubist joseph daley, percussionist juma sultan (who played with #JimiHendrix both at as well as in #woodstock), & others. beautiful opening set too by melanie dyer's we free strings, intense rivers rushing towards swing.
