2010. España debuta en el mundial de Sudáfrica contra Suiza, pero yo tengo otros planes. Salgo a las 16:00 de trabajar y, al contrario que cualquier otro día, dejo mi traje, mi camisa, mi corbata y mis zapatos en mi taquilla, me pongo ropa veraniega y engancho el Cercanías para hacer cola a las puertas del #VicenteCalderón.

A esa hora en junio el calor aprieta en #Madrid, pero no soy de los primeros. Y da un poco igual porque según avanza la tarde la gente empieza a agolparse en los accesos y cuando llega mi hermano ya tengo que indicarle con el móvil y levantar el brazo para que me vea.

Me llamaron mucho la atención con #Newborn el año que me fui a vivir a Valencia, pero me perdí el resto de temazos que habían ido sacando y para mí no habían dejado de ser one hit wonders... Hasta que sacaron #Resistance. Ahí claro, ya tuve que ponerme al día cosa mala.

Yo llevaba encima seis horas de curro, varias de espera fuera del estadio y otras dentro cuando empezó el primer telonero, que era bueno, y varias más cuando empezaron los segundos, unos grandiosos #Editors. Para cuando empezó Muse yo ya estaba destrozado y tener que estirarme al máximo para evitar el hedor humano que allí se respiraba no ayudaba demasiado. A ver, podría haberme retirado un poco, pero yo no concibo un concierto si no es en pista y en primera fila. Salvo si se trata, de #Oasis, pero eso es otra historia.

FF ⏩ 13 años. Muse ha sacado nuevo disco, lo he visto a buen precio y me he animado a comprarlo, aunque hubiese preferido pillarlo en vinilo de color. El single con ese middle 8 imitando al coche fantástico me gusta mucho y la verdad es que suenan igual de bien que hace quince años. Igual de bien.

Igual.

Quizá ese sea un poco el problema, yo me esperaba algo más de ellos: reinvención, evolución, algo distinto.

No me malinterpretéis, tiene varios temazos y me alegro de contar con él en mi colección, pero no es un disco rompedor.
