Making the #Wimodem232 work on an #Amiga 500 without a hard drive was a breeze. I booted a Workbench 1.3, then swapped to the A-Talk III disk which can run from floppy (installs fonts and stuff it needs on the Workbench disk).
Set baud rate to 300 and the modem is right there with the ATI command. Switching the baud rate up to 9600 works fine on the #A500. The WiFi connection can be configured with one command or even from a web UI the modem provides.

@crash Like, they need BBS type access? Having dealt with everything since 110 baud, I can recommend a BBS system that is accessed via Telnet. I've even setup my ASR33 Teletype with a WiModem232 to access wifi and provide telnet access to the world. Works great! If a teletype can do it, any PC with a serial port and a communications program can do it.

@ef1j I was correct! I pulled Pin 9 from J7 White-Slate and tried it. Success! The 8th bit is now always set to Space (off) and now my WiModem232 works perfect with the 8N2 settings.

@ef1j95 , Do you use the #WiModem232 on your Teletype? If so, what baud rate did you set the wimodem to? Now that I've had my #ASR33 restored, I can communicate to my 5150 PC with a null modem cable if I set #Qmodem to 110,7N2 and everything is fine. If I select 8N2, all characters from the 33 have the high bit set and I don't know if this is correct or not.
