George Winston had a significant connection to Windham Hill Records. In fact, he played a crucial role in shaping the label's musical direction. WHR was founded in 1976 by guitarist William Ackerman & was known for its acoustic instrumental music, often featuring artists who blended elements of folk, jazz, and classical genres.

A tired old copy of Mark Isham's transcendent foray into electronic . The sleeve has seen better days, but this wax still sound so good. You might say this album invented what would become . An instant favourite for me. 80s ambient is rarely this good.

If you ever come across an album published on Records, buy it. It will sound better than most of the in your collection.
