George Winston had a significant connection to Windham Hill Records. In fact, he played a crucial role in shaping the label's musical direction. WHR was founded in 1976 by guitarist William Ackerman & was known for its acoustic instrumental music, often featuring artists who blended elements of folk, jazz, and classical genres.

@ScorsesesBrows My review of Mark Isham's Vapor Drawings from 2011 https://windhamhillrecords.com/2011/01/wh-1027-mark-isham-vapor-drawings/ #windhamhill #windhamhillrecords #ambient #electronica #newage

A tired old copy of Mark Isham's transcendent foray into electronic #production. The sleeve has seen better days, but this wax still sound so good. You might say this #Ambient #NewWave album invented what would become #Vaporwave. An instant favourite for me. 80s ambient is rarely this good.
If you ever come across an album published on #WindhamHill Records, buy it. It will sound better than most of the #vinyl in your collection.
