Love Love Wine
Can there be a better motto than this!?!
Sitting out on the patio tonight sipping a little Penoit Gregio with the hubbie watching a beautiful Florida sunset... Ahhh

Salvador Dalí (Spain 1904-1989). Dalí was a skilled draftsman, best known for the striking and bizarre images in his surrealist work. He was also a great wine connoisseur, as can be seen in his book “The Wines of Gala,” a surrealist wine guide, originally published in 1978. #salvadordali #wineart #wine

'Red Vineyard at Arles' by Vincent van Gogh - 1888
Thought I would be interesting to do a not so regular post on a random painting, or piece of art, related to the subject of #wine.
Van Gogh came about this scene during a stroll in the fields of the plain of Arles in Provence on a day in October, and got mesmerised by the strength of the colours set against vivid Autumn lights after a rainfall.
Everything is in a state of tension and motion: the women weighted down by their heavy garments hunched over the shallow vines, the mule driven chart waiting in the back, the female figure with a large umbrella supervising the proceedings.
A man is walking and watching the harvest from the wet road. Did Vincent Van Gogh casually include him self in to a beautiful moment that he would paint a month later out of memory? I'd like to think so.
