Best Wine Photo Outtake in a Nominated Movie.
Which by the way, I really liked the movie. "Top Gun" also nominated for Best Picture shows that only ten movies were made last year.

Found this excellent #wine commentary today. Does the article make me want to watch these shows? 🤔 Not really (although admittedly one day I may just be bored enough..). BUT what IS interesting is how media influences not just consumer preferences (and thus buying trends) but also what’s (incorrectly)considered wine knowledge. And that’s not to mention the effect it can have (and has had) on the industry. Pull out Merlot and over-plant Pinot anyone? Anyway…that’s my two Pennie’s for the day✌️. Anyone else have thought, feelings, comments or concerns?

#Casablanca premiered 80 years ago tonight. The Nazis drank vintage Clicquot, but Rick and Ilsa drank a lot of Mumm Cordon Rouge throughout. There has been plenty of #champagne in movies prior to this but whether intentional product placement or not, the labels seemed prominently displayed in this one. Pommery was the Champagne guest star in a comedic role two years prior in "The Philadelphia Story"...coincidentally the same vintage as the Clicquot in "Casablanca" -- 1926. #wine #wineinmovies #pommery #veuveclicquot #mummcordonrouge
