Feedback loop. I joined some franchise owners at China wine store chain CHEERS yesterday as they got briefed on Bordeaux wines and, in turn, opined on which ones they believe their customers would prefer and at what price. Lots of insights into how people view consumers.

And a quite diverse group of owners: some have been involved over a dozen years, some are quite new; some have one franchise while others have multiple branches; and so on.
And their shops are found all over Beijing, a city of 20 million-plus people with different tastes, spending power, traffic patterns et al depending on where the shop is located.

Local #Portland news: after 20 years in #MultnomahVillage, the Sip d'Vine #wineshop has moved to old downtown #Tigard. Today is their first day open in the new place and we stopped in for a glass of wine and to check it out. If you're not familiar with the shop, Sip d'Vine sells Pacific Northwest wine exclusively, and has a great selection. Go check them out!

Local #Poryland news: Sip d'Vine, the #WineShop that was in #MultnomahVillage, has moved to old downtown #Tigard. Today is their first day open in their new digs and we popped over for a glass and to look the place over. Jill has some unpacking to do -- she was in Multnomah Village for 20 years -- and the tables and chairs are out, the #Wine is in racks. This shop only sells wines from the #PacificNorthwest and they are excellent!
