Here's an interesting #HamRadio thing.

I have a Build-a-pi set up, connected to a Rigblaster Advantage, to a 2m rig. It's been acting as a very effective 2-way #APRS iGate for this area. Filled a void for service.

I shut it off for a couple weeks for #WinterHeat so I could instead plug my other radio into the rooftop antenna. (That was a bust.)

I just switched back, & fired up the other radio and pi.

It now refuses to transmit. Doesn't even TRY.

No configs changed.

I keep striking out doing the #winterheat #hamradio thing, still at 0 points in the month-long contest 😭

But getting my VHF/UHF antenna back up has led to some great times on #DMR TG91 & TG93! I might need to get the jumbospot connected more often! #hamr #AmateurRadio

@KE0FFT so jealous! I use my Bluetooth PTT button with a headset around the house, but still striking out on #winterheat up here in EN61. I really need to change that soon.

Since I'm workin', & can't be calling CQ, but will sometimes pick up the mic if I hear somethin'... maybe this will be my bit to spread the word.

Made my first #WINTERHEAT2023 QSO today. Both of us were mobile in O’Fallon, IL. Freq. 147.57 at 0831CST / 1431UTC.

Here’s a bit of fun #TruckerHam trivia for you. There is an O’Fallon, MO (off of I-64) about 37mi west of St. Louis, MO *and* there’s another O’Fallon, this one in Illinois (also off of I-64) about 18 miles *east* of St. Louis, MO.
