When did they even start saying #wintrymix #winterymix and think "yep, that sounds good"? It only went into fashion about 5 or 6 years ago. Meteorology is a science. It should be more direct. Stop beating around the bush about what's happening in the sky.

Meteorologists and/or weather reporters: can we please stop saying #wintrymix or #winterymix? It's so stupid and sounds too euphemismistic. Wintery mix could be some starchy snack they serve at the bar, or a dumb dance party occasion that teens attend. Why don't you just say "frozen precipitation"? I get it, sometimes it's hard to tell between snow, hail, or sleet, but do better.
