well this is cool, finally got to peak at the source for the #WiPhone, sadly it's written in Arduino C++, was hoping it'd be written in ESP-IDF.... still excited to dig into it, phone should arrive tonight
#WiPhone has arrived 👍 Definitely enjoying playing with it so far. Trying to get my jmp.chat SIP account signed in. I think there is something missing for setting a PORT (jmp needs 5008 but I think default here is 5060).
Not only is the #wiphone an ESP32 development platform, but straight out of the box it's also a SIP phone.
It's about as private as it gets, I can add a domestic number to it and receive calls like normal, nobody will be any the wiser.
No malware, no spyware.. none of it, just a phone.

This is another interesting phone: the WiPhone! WiFi based calling based on the ESP32 MCU. It's hackable, and even looks nice.
