I'm halfway to #WitchForge 's current word count.... in THREE DAYS with #TheWild! I've never had a story flow like this before

January has been a slow month of writing for me because of work or relationships. Really hoping to get a couple good sessions in next week on #WitchForge

#WritingWonders Day 19: Describe your favorite side character and their relationship with you MC.

This is a tough one! Probably Gwendolyn Lockstil. Another Witch that Eispeth encounters along her journey, the two have an immediate kinship towards one another. Gwen is much more skilled in her magic than Eispeth and though they're the same age Gwen becomes somewhat of a mentor to Eis for a large portion of #WitchForge. Throw in a spark of attraction between the two teenagers and boom.

Long weekend ! Today is a cathc up on rest day and working on #WitchForge , then working on some house stuff and a date tomorrow!

I've been planning the #WitchForge for like 5 years, and tonight I was brainstorming with one of my partners and I had the epiphany for how it all ends in the third book (I'm still writing the first by the way) and holy shit I've never written a chapter so fast. To see how it all ties up UGH I see the path forward. #amwriting #writing

#WritingWonders Day 11: Introduce your Antagonist.

This has been the hardest one for me because the true antagonist is a plot twist I don't want to reveal yet!

That said, the antagonist is society itself. Whether it's the imperialist Aelith Empire and their subjugation of nonhumans or the intense economic cast system within the Republic; you'll see many mirrors on Aeon to our own world socio-politically in #WitchForge and exactly how it affects those that are discriminated against

In every friend group theres the Scary Dog and the one that gets scary dog privledge. Our MC is the scary dog in this case

#WritingWonders Day 6 What is my MCs most treasured possession... Hmm hard to say. Somewhere near the beginning of the story, she obtains a forge hammer of strange origin from her adoptive father. The handle is a pale ash and the head is a striking brass, by all means not an effective forge hammer but there's a lot more to it than meets the eye with Magic thrumming through it.... #WitchForge

#WritingWonders Day 3: What's my antagonist's worst fear? This one is hard because the real antagonist is society itself, and I can't say too much without spoiling the reveal. They are afraid of being a failure, but not in a mediocre sense; society itself has taught them that failure by any means is to be abused and that an absolute failure is to be discarded like trash. As someone with nothing, who's clawed every piece of position in their life themselves, failure is akin to death #WitchForge

I’m a bit late to #writingwonders so let me catch up.

When you have a whole book outlined and then about half way through the second arc of the novel your characters jump off the path you planned and you have to replot them to get to the conclusion #AmWriting #WitchForge #WIP

My little corner in the living room is done . Been sitting here with the iPad in my lap working on #WitchForge this week and it’s really been inspiring #amwriting

Many small political and real-life race struggles reflected in #WitchForge, and that's intentional.

As a queer person of color, it was important to me to make sure my real-life struggles were reflected, even in this fantasy world.

The Elves distinguishing themselves from the other Fae are just one example, like growing up in Latine culture and those with light skin often were able to claim white privilege when it actually mattered, leaving others behind

One of the problems I'm noticing with my first draft of #WitchForge is I'm telling, not showing a lot, but also I'm using it as a writing device to show how much the MC overthinks EVERYTHING. I don't know how to reconcile this sin lol
