A chilled out Christmas Eve for me, spent time at the coast doing a survey for the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust while mum came along and took her dog for a paddle. 🤣🐶🌊 #Withernsea

Not a good swim today - there was a ditch in the sand that made a middlin' sized wave knock us over like skittles. After 3 of us getting wiped out, 4 got out and only the tallest & strongest swimmer made it out to calmer water.
Thank goodness for the good swim we had yesterday! It was still lovely catching up with the "mermaids" and starting the day together.

A very chilly day in Withernsea. The cold air blew more than the cobwebs away. Like a lot of northern towns, it had its heyday in Victorian times, but worth a visit.
