has a problem. A deeply racist one, and one that we still refuse to actually deal with.

Some will say there is no problem, that any events are outliers. Others will say we've made progress. Still more will decry outright violence but internally be completely fine with the suppression of voting because it allows their "side" to win.

Of course we all know that side is . It's not like it's a secret that has a problem with it or in general. After all, you need only look to our governor to see why it's becoming even more pervasive.

is a white supremacist. He fundraises and supports a man who killed Jordan Neely on a subway, all the while blaming "Soros funded DA's". Is it any wonder racists like him? Is it any wonder that neo-nazis feel completely comfortable to project swastikas on buildings, drape flyers on overpasses and spread flyers through neighborhoods as well as march right outside Disney's gates?

Of course he'll deny it.

People like him always do. And the media does it as well.

Today I listen to and we get a fun little series of snippets spurred on by the recent in Jacksonville. A prayer circle of mourning neighbors, a selection of outrage by various people and organization, and then...they bring up Ax Handle Saturday.

They speak so sorrowfully about it, as if "this isn't us". When in fact it is. But I could let that all go except for their closing blurb regarding how "arrests were made throughout the city" without mentioning that the ONLY ARRESTS MADE were the black people defending the people being literally beaten to death by white supremacists. Before that of course the police were nowhere to be found.

Imagine that.

The media is in bed with white supremacy in this country. It is coordinated and purposeful. Of course they will deny it, throw puff pieces to muddy the water and speak of how "unfortunate" things are. And then go right back to throwing softball questions at racists, refusing to call a spade a spade with fascist rhetoric and laws, and they can't even be honest with history.

Of course I'm not surprised. Why would I be? I'm a . And while I don't teach history it's pretty plain to see the intent of the censorious laws being put out by our state.

You'd have to live in supreme ignorance to not understand it.

I'm tired, we all are. But we must continue pushing for a more just world. This cannot be allowed to be our present or our future.

Georgia’s Supreme Court says that a state pledge to not execute some inmates until certain conditions are met following the COVID-19 pandemic is a binding contract that the state can’t ignore.
