196 followers · 761 posts · Server aus.socialIts been a week (and a day) since my surgery. Recovery has gone pretty smoothly so far. The wounds are healing up nicely and i haven't been in much pain past the first 3 or 4 days.
The recovery process sees a very restricted diet to allow the internal changes to heal. Clear fluid day 1, and free fluids for the rest of the first two weeks. Protein is king, so protein shakes, protein enriched soups, and even protein powder in my water is where I'm at right now. Another week and I'm allowed pureed food!
