Polar orbiters provided us with a stunning view of E Lk Erie + #WNY this afternoon. The 'muddy' waters over portions of the lake are due to recent mixing from the weekend's windy weather. Snowpack is over the higher terrain, while strips of clouds hang over the Niagara Frontier.

These woods are pretty cold compared to surrounding areas where there is barely a trace of snow, but the warm days ahead should make the sap start flowing. The walking is much easier than last year’s a** deep accumulation. 🍁 #maplebush #wny

It might not be the thickest, but this is my favorite tree on my usual walking route around the village.

It is so round and fluffy. When it's hot, it's shady. During the fall, it gets all the colors. During winter, the huge spread of branches catch snow and look beautiful.

It's a good tree.

Yesterday was driving the speed limit (45 mph) on a local road, solid yellow line, when the car behind me pulled out and passed me. Stuff like this, the incessant tailgating, people not knowing how to drive their giant SUVs + trucks, the horrible left-hand turns = #wny drivers are the worst. And I learned to drive in Massachusetts in the '80s.
