Progress on my gold and silk bird. Based on the #embroidery on the 12th-century #Wolfgangskasel held at #Domschatz #Regensburg. I am using gilt Stech 50/60 (very fine passing thread) and Chinese flat silk split into different thicknesses. Pattern transfer using prick-and-pounce and iron gall ink.
