I just wrote the first (short) chapter of my new Wolf shifter novella, A Wolf's Christmas.

And yep. It totally made me cry...

Yes. Yes, it's a seasonal thing and I want to get it out end of November. We'll see if it actually stays a novella. Wish me luck.

Of course. But he chooses greed and self interest. There is also a fear of being seen as weak in the eyes of the pack to motivate him. When you take something, using your superior strength and cunning, it's hard to let that go, especially when you know others are eying your position and wondering if you're as good as you used to be.

Marcus would recommend visiting a club 😛 He knows a good one in the city. Depends what you're into though, and you will be stopped at the door if you don't meet the dress code.
If you like the great outdoors, there is extensive forest to be found if you venture out of Stratton. You might want to stick to the designated pathways, or you may bump into a wolf or two.

I'm still writing it, but I already have a scene with Shadow and Alice (from Book 5) where they are talking about medicine - so yes.

Dylan will also talk with her aunts at one point (still have to figure all of that out).

I really believe the Bechdel Test is a very low bar.

Well... in the Wolves series, three MCs are definitely there (some of them are parents of earlier MCs).

And then there are Beth and her husband Carl who are 70+. Beth is the pack leader and appears in every book, but both are only side characters. (Do you think I should write their story? Ugh, researching the 1960s in the US.)

No.

Shane looks pretty average. He's also been human for most of his life, hasn't been a Wolf for longer than a year or so. And he hasn't lived that part, either. (Yet. Mwuahahaha.)

Dylan is similar, as well, but has a little more experience with Wolf shape.

The Wolves are basically Urban Fantasy, so the stories take place in our world.

Out of the three, Marcus would have both the easiest and hardest time staying under the radar. He's a rich, successful businessman with a shady past that would probably set him in good stead in our society.
There is the whole wolf thing though, and the uh, half man- half wolf form.
He would be intimidating as hell if you crossed him, but he has superb control and charm. He'd be fine.

My Wolves basically live in the modern US. (I'm setting the stories in the mid-to-late 2000s.)

Which means they use cars, trucks, trains, planes (if they have to) and of course, their own feet.

Shane has a car, I think (haven't seen it yet). He used to own a truck but had it sold.

Very much so.
Wolf shifters are often pan/bisexual. This is often ignored by the elders but the idea is still for them to find a compatible mate to settle down with and have cubs. Especially those from higher ranking packs. Some of the current generation are pushing back on that.

With my stories being set around a queer kink community, my MCs are all LGBTQ+ in some way, human and otherwise.

Yes.

Dylan/Shadow lives with her two aunts. They are actually her aunt and her aunt's wife.

It's not something big or important for the plot, they are just part of Dylan's life.

Having said that, I'm at a point in the manuscript where I haven't met them yet. Looking forward to that. I think they'll be cool.
