A #FossilFriday flashback to the amazing #Dinosaurs of China exhibition at #WollatonHall, Nottingham.

This is Mei long - the sleeping dragon - a troodontid dinosaur preserved in 3D, about 15cm long in its sleeping pose, from the early Cretaceous of Liaoning Province, China. Still blows my mind to see the bird-like behaviour preserved in this specimen.

The #BeingHuman2022 Festival is just beginning. Next week I’ll be at two great events here in Nottingham, based around our amazing #CityofCaves - a virtual reality session at the #NottinghamContemporary and a tour of the caves beneath #WollatonHall . Fantastic.
