While not so much about your WoL, I’m curious how many of you have had your life changed for the better by this game? It helped me recover from a deep depression, made me appreciate life again and helped me meet the love of my life. What has FFXIV done for you all?

Rav felt a deep compulsion that staying in the Greatwood was not what she was to do, and voluntarily accepted exile so she could wander without goal nor direction. It took her several years to arrive in Gridania when her Journey really begins.

Namhla - Running away to the sea to avoid being sold to pay her family's debts. Learning how to be a pirate/privateer.

Jennader - Social Justice Bard in training. ;-) Friends with lots of Ala Mhigan refugees, Duskwight outcasts, and the ones the Hearer's hated the most. Getting really good at archery and bard-ing.

Question for #ffxiv #FinalFantasyXIV folks - as I'm moving my attentions and fandoms here, one thing I haven't seen take root yet is the #wolqotd - would anyone be interested in copies of things I see on Twitter? Or coming up with stuff ourselves?

Rav is a wellspring of Aether but doesn't apply it conventionally. Instead of always using it for black or white magic (though she's proficient at that too), she often uses it semi-unconsciously to augment her warfare.

Rav was really hurt after Ultima Thule, but she lost the most time in general after Mt. Gulg and suffered from the overabundance of Light.

@turk Ah, that would be my mentor, Lord Diokeles. He saw my promise early on and took me under his wing - teaching me the ways of the Technologist. He was like a second father to me, and I held nothing but admiration for him.

Who did your wol look up to the most as a child? This doesn't necessarily mean their childhood hero, just whoever they thought was the best person as they grew up.

A major driving part of D'mora's story has been my own life.
I'm older than most of my friends. When my disabilities were hurting my ability to play a class, I changed it and gave her something akin to it to explain why.
She's old and tired, but still fighting. And Same here.
