Last week, nuclear R&D had a breakthrough. Scientists and engineers at a DOE lab fused a tiny pellet of hydrogen to produce an impressive amount of energy - so much BOOM that (theoretically) it could repeat the fusion ignition and have extra juice for other stuff!
