Since I've unintentionally been publishing posts under the theme of women as my debut on Mastodon, I think it's only fitting that the first of my poems I post on here is on that topic as well...
____________
Title: Unapologetic Femininity
Author: Diana Blackhurst
Unapologetic femininity
Is me.
The right to own who you are supposed to be.
To acknowledge that you are a queen.
Never apologizing for your femininity,
But rather pushing the limits of all you can be.
Dream and let the world see you swim in a sea of success regardless of gender.
You are exactly who you are to be.
Society needs to see,
The power within women,
And the strength in femininity.
Don't allow ignorance to sink you.
Take the equality that should be a guarantee to humanity.
