Someone in the neighborhood must have had a serious collection of classic books about early women doctors, because I see books like this one turn up regularly in the #littlelibraries. Judging from photos, the real Dr Emily Dunning Barringer didn’t have such a magnificent pompadour. Sad that they left Dr Barringer’s hard-earned title out of the book title.
