Czechia hanging in there vs Team Canada. But can they get another goal while preventing Canada from scoring?

And here’s your champion, Siripaporn Nuanthakhamjan! #WomensWorldChampionship
A bit overwhelmed by the amount of trophies: Bai YuLu, runner up, getting the trophy for the tournament high break (127, highest ever in a #WomensWorldChampionship)
Ah, so Amee Kamani won the Challenge Cup (players that don’t reach the last 16 compete in the challenge Cup). She had the bad luck of being with Mink and Bai in one group. Who knows what might have happened if she won that group match against Mink - which she could, maybe should, have. #WomensWorldChampionship
I’m more than a bit embarrassed that I (still) don’t know what’s surname and family name of Siripaporn Nuanthakhamjan. I’m sorry! #WomensWorldChampionship
Frame ball goes in! So do the remaining reds, followed by a fantastic blue. This is it! Nuanthakhamjan is world champion! #WomensWorldChampionship
With the balls unfavorably distributed alongside the left cushion, Nuanthakhamjan crafts a fine break of 41 points. She’s 30 points in front, 5 reds remaining. #WomensWorldChampionship
That said, if she happens to win this, her (long) potting definitely had something to do with it.
However, after another rather reckless attempt on the green Nuanthakhamjan is now 5-3 up. One more needed for the championship! #WomensWorldChampionship
Uuuuh. Can you blame a 19-year-old for some … overly optimistic shot selection? Probably not, but if Bai loses this final, that will be the reason. 😳#WomensWorldChampionship
We’re ever so slowly nearing the business end of the final. Best of 11, Nuanthakhamjan is 4-3 up (from 0-2 down). It’s not a high-quality-affair, but it’s a dramatic fight with twists and turns in every frame. The match started almost 7(!) hours ago with just about half an hour midsession interval break. #WomensWorldChampionship
Wow. Another marathon frame eventually goes to Nuanthakhamjan. Bai needed two snookers already, but she played some good safeties and got them (actually she fluked another one on the pink and got six more points from that). So it once again came down to the colors, Bai almost stole the frame but narrowly missed the pink. In a lengths safety battle Bai eventually left the pink over the middle pocket, enough for Nuanthakhamjan to *finally* win the frame. 4-3 up now. #WomensWorldChampionship
Just in case you were hoping for a quick frame for a change … well, one can dream 😜 #WomensWorldChampionship
Frame 5 is - surprise! - down to the colors again 😅 This time it goes Bai’s way, some nice pots there to clear up. 3-2! #WomensWorldChampionship
Nuanthakhamjan maybe should have won frame 1 already. But she missed the black after the penultimate red, and left Bai with a perfect position on the last red. Bai then dominated frame 2 to go 2-0 up.
All in all Bai impressively plays like she played all week. She goes for a lot of long pots and gets many of them. She’ll have to make more points from these, hard to say who’s in charge. This could go all the way, if both can keep up their game. #WomensWorldChampionship
Nuanthakhamjan-Bai YuLu 2-2
Nice 56 break from Nuanthakhamjan in frame 4, but it still came down to the colors. Bai with some fantastic long pots, but then she - typically? - went for a tricky pink, and left it in front of the pocket.
That way she lost frame 3 already. She took on a straight long pink, potted it, but with no position whatsoever on the black. She put the cue ball close to the cushion, but this time Nuanthakhamjan potted this difficult long black. #WomensWorldChampionship
@subraumpixel Where can we watch the #snooker #WomensWorldChampionship ? Thank you

Meanwhile on the other table: What could - and should - have been a whitewash got a lot closer than necessary. Nuanthakhamjan Could have taken the match in frame 5 but managed to snooker herself on the blue. Mink clawed her way back into the match, and had a good chance to go 3-4, but Nuanthakhamjan fluked the last red and cleared the table to stumble over the line. Both underdogs made it to the final! #WomensWorldChampionship
And there we are! Bai YuLu beats record champion Reanne Evans 5-3. Too many unforced errors from increasingly annoyed Evans, one of them leaves Bai plenty of open reds. She makes a flawless break of 48, then flukes a snooker on the last red, Evans misses and leaves the red right in front of the bottom corner. Wow! #WomensWorldChampionship
