Si hay una muerte de un músico que me ha dejado bastante afectado, es la de Colin Vearncombe (alias Black).

En los años 80 tuvo un gran éxito mundial por la canción Wonderful Life, despues de muchos singles previos que pasaron despercibidos. No fue llegar y besar el santo...

Tras ese éxito siguió lanzando discos, cada vez menos populares entre el público general... se vió forzado a crear su propio sello musical, con el que siguió lanzando discos hasta su fallecimiento por un accidente de tráfico, en 2016.

En Colin Vearncombe he encontrado un gran músico, mejor compositor, una voz cálida, aterciopelada y sincera, que me ha acompañado (y lo seguirá haciendo) en buenos y malos momentos. Siempre está presente.

When I think about the music the much younger me liked (birthdays get me musing that way) I inevitably end up thinking about "Wonderful life" by Black.

Still love that eighties sound and the lyrics just never fail to move me, even after all theses years.
