I created this little #Dopey #woodentrain for my grandson because we love Dopey so much 💜 "It ain't no trick to get rich quick when you dig dig dig with a shovel and a pick" . . . but . . . I tried to make picks and shovels out of balsa wood, but they kept breaking because they were too tiny. So, I printed out an image and glued them to the sides of my amethyst-carrying cargo car. I think Dopey's balsa wood ears turned out pretty well, though! 💜
Almost-4-year-old grandson's favorite color is (currently!) blue, so for Valentine's Day 2023 I made him a Blue Valentrain #custom #woodentrain 💜 To be fair, I didn't alter the original train much: added some big blue hearts on front, back and sides, and made a little balsa wood face. Happily we both liked how it turned out! 💜
I've had this little 3-foot friend in my living room for decades. We call it Dorkus, & my 3yo grandson is used to finding #woodentrain surprises in Dorkus' Bucket . . . so I made a Dorkus Train! The "hood and bucket strap are felt, the bucket itself is a crudely hollowed out (by me) 1-inch wooden cube, and the little grren train "surprise" in it is made out of balsawood. Grandson LOVED it and I'm pretty pleased with it myself! 💜
My 3yo grandson loves #TheInchworm book, so I made an Inchy the Inchworm #woodentrain for him (he loves it!) 💜
I'm RIDICULOUSLY pleased with my The Grinch #woodentrain with his "three sizes" bigger heart on the back. The sled is layers of felt & balsa wood. Note that little star dangle from the tree-top! A small old black velvet jewelry bag hold Max & Cindyloo's tree. I printed out Max & glued him to both sides of a piece of balsa wood. Full disclosure: Grinch face is from a little "bendable" toy. I can't wait for my 3yo grandson to have him today!
3yo grandson loves #Bluey, so I made a Bluey the Brakevan #woodentrain for him (he loves it!) 💜
