Jack, "I find it difficult to get close and personal. It makes my job as guardian of souls difficult because I'm not that good at comforting confused people whom I bring home. Although I'm often sarcastic, I'm also not good at criticism. That should be constructive and not hurtful and I have a hard time getting this right. Luckily I work alone, that makes things easier--for my 'victims'."

And Troy, sweet honest Troy will cheer anyone up, with kind words & an honest smile. I don't know that anyone needs to hear from me. Except when Linh needs a voice of reason...

Jo: I can't tell Ellis I'm happy for him. How can I when it would be a lie. He's found his people; bully for him. Don't get me wrong. I don't begrudge him for it, but it's a total head fuck. I mean, who wants to be made vulnerable in that way? Look what happened because of it.
It's better to steer clear of all that relationship crap. I only have to worry about me and I prefer it that way.

"It's so hard to say no. I was happy in the records office, but Dario had to send me on this ridiculous mission. I didn't want to come, I'm not suited to this kind of work, but could I tell him that? He was so excited for me, and everyone was acting like it was some grand reward. It isn't. I would very much like to go home."

Junk: Um... Everything? I'm not good with emotions, choom. Never have been. I lost a lot of girls that way. They all wanted that deep soulful connection, you know? And I couldn't give it to 'em. I think Alexios knows that he's my best friend, though. I think. I should tell him one day. We're both f*ckin' rotten with telling each other how we feel.

If I met Exalted Leader, I would eat chocolate in front of his floppy reptilian face, to get back at him for banning it on Pluto. Just because he's allergic shouldn't mean everyone else has to suffer.

—I don't like to talk about emotional stuff. Now I know dad is guilty of that! He taught all of us to keep "that side" hidden. Mamá Toñita* has helped me with that but it's still hard because I still hear dad's words when I'm *THINKING* anything! My bro is helping me with that, too! Lau try her best to help me with that but she's worse than me! Hahaha!

Let's do the Marchesa Forteza for this one.

I'd be incredibly turned on. And probably incredibly afraid. I'd likely just try to stay in the background and not draw attention from the Marchesa ... which would probably draw all the wrong kinds of attention to me.

It would not be pleasant. Well, at least not for me. I'm sure it would be highly entertaining for everyone watching.

The book I’m working on now doesn’t have an antagonist as such. The conflict is largely internal. The closest I could come to meeting the antagonist would be meeting Christophina herself, in which case I would reassure her that Ethan isn’t going anywhere and that she’s a better artist than she’s giving herself credit for.

The best thing I could do is avoid them, but I'm not that smart.

Only until I was terrified of what they might do, would I realize that trying to help was hopeless, and all the harm and pain I endured wasn't worth it.

I end up effortlessly writing pages and pages of my characters chatting and then realize - holy shit - I just wrote pages and pages of my characters chatting.

I often end up explain the layout and the materials - like you're going to literally build it.

"The timber of Boi and Orchid’s home was old, worn, and cracked, giving their home a present odor of lichen, mold, and rainwater, but the wooden frame and supports were massive, and the joints were held together with resilient metal spikes. It had two stories. The first floor was..."

I'll need to get out a copy of The Source of Fire to even remember who all the significant side characters are for tomorrow's question. I might give a few of them something to say, for a little bonus fun since we're at the 1/3-way point of the #WordWeavers game.

The nature of things, make a person of a low status uncappable of perceiving someone of a higher caste unless they want to be perceived.

kinda. it dependes, if I have a particular trait that can be expressed through dialogue, than yes.
I also love that I can throw some rules out of the window: "it isn't not a mistake talk wrong."
(I'm usually better at that though)
