With all the recent layoffs in the tech sector, it seems there now exists a real opportunity for collaboration among the 'redundant' to form new organizations based on collective ownership that would (given the economies related to worker-owned orgs) have a significant competitive advantage in the marketplace!

- Annual Meeting, including officer elections, patronage discussion, and welcoming our first international members... from #Brazil
- sending solidarity to our brand-new members as they watched their duly-elected government be vandalized by mobs

Today at the Interpreters' Co-op:
- 18 jobs in one day, which might be a record
- onboarding of new members
- ongoing insurance questions

Tracking hours worked is a common way to allocate profits (excess) in #workercoops.

I’ve done timesheets for the past 17 years as a consultant. Hate them. Billing clients for hours worked means the faster you work, the less money you make. And tracking time requires a huge amount of pointless overhead. We don’t do timesheets at Cooptimize.

We had to come up with unique modes that are not hours based. For clients we sell consistent weekly Focus Time™️ in half-day blocks.
